We are at an exciting point in the growth of our community theater.

To support this growth, we formed ENCORE, The Woodford Theatre's Volunteer Guild.  In 2002, we moved into our permanent space at the Fallings Springs Arts and Recreation Center, and, with the establishment of a regular season of shows, the Woodoford Theatre Board of Directors realized that we needed to be more productive in applying resources to continue the current level success and grow to the next level.  The most valuable resource we have is our volunteers and there needed to be a better way of recruiting, organizing and recognizing them.  Therefore, at the July 2005 board meeting, ENCORE was formed.

The Woodford Theatre invites you to join this volunteer guild.  ENCORE began a tradition of providing volunteers for production support, fund raising and promotion of Woodford Theatre events.  Since its creation, ENCORE members alone have accumulated over 4,300 volunteer hours!  This is a great way to support a theater organization that has been such a vital part of the arts community in the Bluegrass region.  Together, we will build on this proud tradition for decades and generations to come.

We have a very exciting year ahead of us as we continue to build our Guild, with events to promote an enticing season of shows as well as fund raising and volunteer appreciation activities.  For more information, contact our offices at (859) 873-0648 or email

We invite you to “Be a Part of Something Dramatic”.   We will have a great time working together to reach our goals and enrich our community.
